Significance of Pranav OM

Pranavah dhanuhu sharah hee ātmā
Brahma tat lakshyam uchyate
Apramattena veddhavyam
Shara-vat tanmayah bhavet.
                                                                                               Mundakopnishad II.ii.4

Pranava (mantra ॐ) is the bow, ātmā (soul) is the arrow
Brahman (God, Paramātmā) is the target (goal)
(With) steady (hand and focused mind) hit (the target)
And like the arrow (ātmā) become one with the target (Brahman).

GOAL : Architecting like Adi Shankaracharya ?

Events in life destined to happen in an interesting order and has hidden message in them.  You realize them only when you intrigue these. I felt this info is related to ME and not pertaining to any abstraction of roles I play– thus felt to update in all my 3 blogs.

Recently watched a movie on Adi Shankaracharya and prepared for TOGAF part-I exam.

Most number of architects in humanity is from INDIA and is from Hinduism. Hinduism is not a religion of one but is a continuum, where many have realized the god in themselves.  It is not one or two books but numerous artifacts written over centuries by these God-realised Yogis/Sadhus. Pre Adi Shankaracharya era these numerous artifacts were interpreted in as many number of ways causing confusion on what they ideally meant.

Adi Shankaracharya (in Film) looks at heap of Vedic documents in a cave of his guru and asks why they are in this state. Guru explains threat to them and inspite his noble and best efforts he couldn’t maintain these well and make them available to general public. People with no proper knowledge were taking not so correct interpretation of these texts were following few blind believes. Adi Shankaracharya embarks on his mission not only to re-engineer the artifacts but also make a continuum to dissipate correct information on what actually Hinduism core principles were. To him the prophesy was “bring his friends, family and community from cult behavior and establish a continuum to avoid the same beyond his life time”. He went onto bring Advaitam meaning of Hinduism, Defy many Blind-Believes in community by himself and establish Four Maths to sustain Hinduism’s true message come out for centuries. Can we do at least 1% what Adi Sankaracharya did centuries back. I feel I would be blessed even if we could do 0.1% of what we wish to do.

Challenge of current period is lack of time !? Advent of Internet and Web2.0 data has been ever increasing but when it comes to get right information we have the similar issue of having numerous interpretations but not sure if have the right answer required.

What is it to club these numerous artifacts being built/written through aspirants interpretation of the core epics along with these Epics. “Hindu Arch Repository”. Classify documents- what would be ABB, SBB? What’s the scope or enterprise ? What is the “Archtecture work” to start an TOGAF-ADM cycle. Is the answer is to have active blogs by categories like Karma, Yoga, Varnam, Varnasankaram, DHarmanm, Nyayam, Rules of Balyam-Komaryam-Bhramacharyam-GruhaPrasatham-Vanaprastham-Sanyasam etc.,

Goal is to enhance the Primal Vedic Literature(Literature its manifestation to Upanishads and its essence of these illustrated by Gita) through an state of art architecture (creating respository) using collaboration of aspirants/knowledge-seekers under guidance of Gurus – Thus provide mos accurate and relevant information.

Dhruva Nakshatra - Highest point

Brahma created Svayambhava Manu as the first human and asked to marry Shatrupa and asked him to sustain the race. They had three daughters and two sons. Uttanapada is elder son. He had two wives, Suniti and Suruchi. Dhruv was born from Suniti and Uttam from Suruchi.

Surichi was dearer to Uttanapada. He rarely seen or listened to Suniti. Once Dhruva went to the palace to see his father - after a long time. Dhruva saw his brother Uttama on his fathers left lap, he wished his father to have him on other. Surichi pushed him off and said “You dint have good fortune  to be born to me – Hence you are deprived of your fathers lap and Throne”. Deeply hurt Dhurva reached his mother , as knowing the incident she told 10 things to Dhruva

v  If you have to beg for something, let that be from God!
v  However much you ask of a human being, it will be little.
v  Many a times asking brings with it, humiliation.
v  When God gives, he gives in plenty.
v  God will make you sit on his lap with love. He is the true father of Mankind.
v  Don’t speak ill about Surichi , ask for the blessings of Suruchi.
v  Suruchi has spoken words of truth, even if you want the throne, pray to the Lord!
v  I am not sending you alone, my blessings and God are with you.

Hearing this dhruva started towards forest to meditate for Vishnu. Narada appeared and rtied to console child saying “I could understand your pain, but many sages for years prayed for Vishnu without success. Bow to people with higher spirituality, Make Friends with those who have equal to you, Wish god to give them for lesser- This would console you – Now go and play kid.”  Dhurva was adamant , seeing that Narada told the way to pray.
v  Eat to live, Eat only Fruits , Take Holy bath in Saraswathi, Create a small Idol, Pary with Tulasi and Flower
v  Chant “Om namo bhagavate Vaasudevaaya".

For the first month he subsisted on fruit and meditated for 3 days at a stretch. For the second month, he meditated for 6 days at a stretch. For the third month, Dhruv meditated for 9 days at a stretch and subsisted on only leaves. For the fourth month, he meditated for 12 days at a stretch and subsisted on only water from the Yamuna River. For the fifth month Dhruv meditated for 15 days at a stretch, and renounced water and had only Air (Kumbhakam, Rechakam etc in Yoga). By the 6th month Dhruv decided that he would stay put in the same and stood on one leg and meditated, earth was tilting.

Vishnu appeared and have him all Vedic knowledge by placing conch on his head. Dhruva praised the Lord and Vishnu gave him biggest post, but asked him to go and do his Karma of ruling the kingdom and then attain the stature.

The Post is highest point of heaven and making him as basis all Stars, Planets will revolve. People use this as navigational point for them to reach destination. – POLE STAR

Note:  Morale
 1)  Every man has two Wives – Su”ruchi” 5 senses and Man is usually slave of her surrendering to external Maya manifested through senses. Su”nithi” - inner sense epitomizes truthfulness not impacted by Maya – She is always in meditation of the supreme. She is always ignored by us. Product of our senses is Uttama (Best) but should given less importance to son of Consciousness.
 2) Time and again you run into unfair situation. Never beg humans – instead concentrate on God (within?) with utmost sincerity – God will give you everything beyond you wishes. You would be viewed as point of reference.

Dhurva(Pole Star) married Brami(Rotation/Revolution) and have birth to Varsha(Year) and Kalpa (4.32 billion years) - Thus exemplifies the scentific nature of Hindu mythology at the same time hidden message. Wish every one understand the enormity of these scriptures written thousands of years earlier(this is quited in Vishnu purana and BHagavatha purana)

Hats Off !!!!!!!

Getting started - Where to start ?!

What are commandments of Hunduism. There are Raja, Gnana, Karma, Bhakthi yogas ( Will discuss more on these as I read more about these)

Raja Yoga states 8 stages and it is supposed to be easiest
yama > niyama > asana > pranayama > pratyahara > dharana > dhyana > samadhi

Pranayama – Is basically control of breath (There is lot to it to explain and too big in my blog for the context). Breath has unique meaning underneath. If we take Past, Present and Future - Breath is the ultimate representation of Present. Hence Pranayama is a technique to maintain our concentration in present not being worried about Past or Future. Sages has pointed that one of key methods to develop Sankalpam(Will power) is to utilizing the present to the fullest and not worrying about past and future. We need to learn from past and have vision towards future but not worry to extent of impacting present thus spoiling future past and impacting future! Sankalpam has quoted by sages is the ingredient in making man successful and to sustain it. Sankalpam is the one which bring man victorius through diversities time and again.

In telugu(or Sanskrit) present is called Varthamana Kalam. Varthamanam also means message. Message from us to world or from Almighty to us ?

May god give me enough sankalpam to sustain my journey through thick and thin.

Five aspects of Hinduism is Dharma, Ardha, Kama and Moksha. Kama towards gaining Ardha should be bound by Dharma to attain Moska. Though it is small sentence there is lot to understand…
What is Dharma ! Is it different from Nyayam(Correct), Satyam(Truth), Chattam(Law). Understanding Dharma it self is huge task as there no straight answer. To know where to find answer lets see what all scriptures are there in Hinduism (I know)

4 Vedas, 108 Upanishads, Puranas, Epics( Maha Bharatham, Ramayanam, Bhagavad gita, Bhagavatham) Manu Smrithi, Sastras (Ardha,Yoga, Kama )…..

Upanishads are stories explaining the crux of Vedas. Puranas are to explain Gods and their unique attributes, Manu Smirthi is written summarize various principles of Hinduism. Ardha sastra written by Kautilya how king should rule his kingdome and its various nitty gritis. These are writen in various periods of time.

Bhagavatham: Dharma has four legs Shaucham, Satyam, Daya and Tapas. Kali yoga(Current period and last leg) has only sathyam left rest all are not there. That is the Kali Yuga property. It is also said that Dharma changes every secong and satyam does not. As Dharma is aligned to Role. As role changes Dharma changes but Truth remain same. So Satyam in Mahabharatam is same to all parties but Bheeshma(Noble Person) fights for Duryodhana(Incorrect side) because of his Dharma ?

Manu Smriti: Dharma needs Patience (dhriti), forgiveness (kshama), piety or self control (dama), honesty (asteya), sanctity (shauch), control of senses (indraiya-nigrah), reason (dhi), knowledge or learning (vidya), truthfulness (satya) and absence of anger (krodha).

to be continued.............

Preface ?

Recently brought few books on India to show my daughter pictures of it. Common thread of all books on India is One of the oldest civilizations, its past riches, Aryan advent, They brought rich knowledge Vedas and Sanskrit, Numerous invasions, Freedom.

This has been a quite a debate for years - I donot want to dive in and describe about, could go numeruous pages, on racial bias of historians. Primarily to defeat the India by depriving of its rich culture to some nomads from Europe or wherever, which inspite of political surrender did not even deter for its superior and rich culture. Invasions for centureies could not achieve and hence started this version of hi"STORY".

Still wanted to point few Facts. Aryans supposedly entered 1500-1200 BCE. Aryans brought Vedas from foriegn land.
. Why there are no glimpses of homelands for aryans beyond INDIA ?
. No Statment of invasion in any Vedas which is said to be written by aryans later
. Saraswati river archieologically dried around 1900BCE and Rig Veda stats about it and based on it , it is dated as 3000 B.CE
. Harappa coins showing OM, Swastika etc symbols which are omnipresent in Vedas and Epics

"Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people. -Eleanor Roosevelt"

So not to bog down by these irritants and discuss on events or people lets discuss ideas and principles behing Indian (Hindu) culture. Qwest has always been What are the core duties of HINDU.

Hinduism scripts are vast and tough to decipher by common man. I think it is designed to be that way so that numerous invasions could rob the riches (material) but not the source of it. Invaders too could not decipher the source of the wealth and maturity of the Individuals in India and thier frsutration is shown in destroying these scripts. Scripts are created to be understood by only those who attain some level of maturity (Spirtually).

Lets get into Ideas not dwelling into events and people again :-)
